February 2009... A Day at the Beach

A Day at the Beach!

Emy and Casen's first experience with the sand and seashore....
Daddy spent his time making sure they didn't add seashells to their already expansive diet.
Greg and I had a great day at the beach on Sanibel... we splished and splashed and enjoyed the best fish sandwiches at Grandma Dot's.... What a nice family day!

This month we had lot's of visitors.... Here is one of our favorite buddies... Conrad... This is my best friend Adair's little boy.... I am so happy that we get to raise our kids together.....
This month Emy also got her first tooth.... I was able to snag a picture.... pretty soon her mouth will be full of pearly whites.... we are still waiting for Casen to get his first tooth....
Another buddy who stopped by.... Little Jake.... He is actually 2 months younger
than Casen and Emy... but is huge! It is fun to see all of my friends starting families and our children playing together.
This month Casen is talking and making so many sounds babbling... below are some shots of him verbalizing... from the pictures you can tell he is talking....
(I swear he said... "I love you mommy")

Emy is sitting up so well and playing.... A picture of Emy playing... while her brother took an extra long nap one day......

We visit many parks in the area and this month we hung out at the church park for a day with Liam and some other little buddies
The twins love the swing.... they don't look very happy.... but cry like crazy when I take them out.... I don't get it.....
but they are adorable....

Well they are nine months now... I can't believe it... Greg says they are finally little people. They have very different personalities. Emy is a mommy's girl and very particular. She lets us know if she wants something or is not happy for any reason... not a cry.... but a whine that goes right through you... I think she will be an early talker since she really gets frustrated with not being able to communicate....we are working on some baby sign language. Casen is an easy go lucky boy. So happy and very easy to please. He is army crawling all over the place. They are still taking three naps a day and sleep 7 pm till 7 am every night. They are great sleepers... and eating... well they are eating everything and anything. They are feeding themselves by the handfuls. They love scrambled eggs and toast and pancakes for breakfast... lunch avocados and pasta... and dinner... anything we eat... meatloaf, green bean and mashed potatoes last night. We are still working on drinking from a sippy cup....not too interested right now. They are also in a little weekly music class. They love it... I will try to take some pictures and post them next time. Swimming is next. Well I hope all is well with everyone...
