It happened…. the first kid to lose their first tooth….. Emy!

I can't believe that I have a daughter old enough to lose a baby tooth…. isn't she still a baby???

Well… the tooth fairy snuck into her room….. and tearfully took her tooth…. replacing it with worthy memories….

I love you Emery Mae…. always my baby…..

October 2013 Sidebar: Nature

This is a moment between tennis lessons and baseball….. a moment where Greg & I are lost in catching up with other mommies and daddies….

When we turn to glance where the kids are and what fence they are hitting with a stick…. hoping it's a fence and not a sibling…. and notice them all quietly observing 2 bunnies….they say there for what seemed like forever…. I had enough time to rifle through my bag for my camera…. punch in the code…. find my camera app….. focus…. and snap…. and they still sat motionless….. I even, at that moment considered buying a bunny or two for the house…. that was before Casen charged them and Emy screamed…. anyway…. moment over…. but….

October 2013 Tennis Time

Emy finally found her love….. tennis!

She loves her lessons and is sticking with it….I love to watch her, cheer for her & see her pride when she improves.  It is amazing to experience your child learn and grow.  It happens constantly…. daily…. 

The capability of these little beings are amazing.

it is so powerful to see their eyes…. the sense of adventure that rises in them.

I take so many pictures…. I see my family through my eyes…. but hardly ever see me as a mom…. see me…. I think it is hard for us to do this….. without criticizing ourselves…. feeling badly about some features…. cookies we ate…. workouts we skipped….. staying up late….. wearing that outfit and thinking it looked good…. but there is so much more to who we are…. moms…..

I love being one…. I love the precious moments with my noodles…. I need to document more of them…. with me in them….. so that when they are off…. living the lives I dream for them and experiencing the wonders God has in store for them….. I can look back and see "us"…. 

Thank you God for these times…. these moments…. these smiles…. these messy hair dos and sweatpants…. unplanned giggles and hugs….thank you for them all!

Florida..... what a beautiful night.... jumping little waves..... exploring little pools..... fighting off hundreds of little "no-see-ums"......

Yes.... you can't tell from these pictures.... but my family was nearly eaten alive.....

seriously..... we would have been too, but for a nice couple who offered bug spray..... so we weren't completely destroyed..... but the next time I get the crazy idea in my head to go to the beach at sunset in September.... somebody bite me!

September Starts....

September rolled in.... school started, dentist appointments.... family movie night....& CAPPUCCINO!

With all the business.... and the return to the morning routine..... not to mention busy evenings.... Greg.... my sweet hubby told me to go ahead and make the long waited purchase of the cappuccino and expresso machine.  Ahhh.... it really does deserve it's own blog entry.  This my friends is a game changer....
