September 2012: New Adventures.... Ice Skating

We started doing some open skate sessions down the road at the Skatium recently.  They are such fun.... The kids get to fumble and slide around holding on to these walkers for the ice.... They are so independent so of course they love that we don't have to hold them.... and they don't spend their time falling every second.  It was a great start to pump them up for lessons.....
The lessons are a bit different.... helmets.... slow... slow... slow moving..... but fun!
This is the first time that all 3 of them have been able to participate in something at the same time.  Very exciting for us to see them hanging out together.

Nana & Papa

Nana & Papa are enjoying the warm summer weather in Connecticut.  We miss you and can't wait to see you!

Paca Stops by to see the Dolphins....

Our Paca caught up with some old friends at a luncheon for the Miami Dolphins. Not only has Don played football to a very notable degree..... he continues to participate in behind the scene areas of the sport..... He is currently working on a project that will raise money through sponsorship to supply new safer helmets to the all Dade County High Schools.  Here is a picture of Don with the Miami Dolphin Superbowl Trophy from their 1972 undefeated season.....

We love you Paca!

First Day of VPK

Casen & Emery started VPK this year at St. Francis.  Greg & I struggled with this decision and made it with a heavy heart..... It means so much more than just starting school..... It means they are older.... starting off on their school careers....
It means the house will be empty during the day..... I won't have to maneuver through mazes of matchbox cars spread all over the floor and couch..... it means I won't have to monitor Emy to make sure that nail polish is in fact going on her nails and not the table and floors.... or Cooper..... It means that I won't be preparing food all day long for hungry hungry hungry children..... it means I won't have kids crawling on my lap every time I sit down to read a book or snuggle...... needless to say when I dropped them off that first day..... 1/2 of my heart went with them..... and even though it means that during the day none of these things will happen.....
When the clock strikes 3..... well....

Zoomers Meet Twins

Took Emy & Casen to Zoomers and lunch....
The rides are perfect there for my little cautious noodles....

Burger King was a hit too.... Greg and I don't really do fast food..... so this was a treat!  Casen asked if he could go there again with daddy..... good luck getting daddy in a Burger King!
