Greg and I were able to enjoy his Dad's honoring in Washington, D.C.
He was part of the 80 Greatest Redskin Players in 80 years celebration.
(He was part of the 70th team 10 years earlier.... right before I met Greg)
We went up for a few nights of events.... and some sight seeing....
We visited one of my favorite place.... the Lincoln Memorial.... which is where Greg asked me to marry him almost 8 years ago....
The weather was nippy, but beautiful. We shopped in Georgetown and enjoyed an amazing burger and phenomenal cupcakes.... Took in a few museums and of course stopped by to say hello to Obama....
We were able to meet a few more of the players from years past and the new 10 inductees since the 70th celebration.... This included Clinton Portis, who sat behind us during dinner and then snapped a few photos with us.....
Game day was beautiful and chilly.... Greg really enjoyed sharing this experience with his Dad down on the field. It was a quick trip.... but full of love and excitement.
We can't wait until the kids are old enough to experience Washington and all it has to offer....
